Yes, for sure. Irritating patriarchal overtones (undertones?) are irritating, yet I'm still glad they at least made an attempt. Not everyone will be aware of the issues you've pointed out, and that I agree with, yet I also think we have to start somewhere.
Do you (or anyone reading this for that matter) think an attempt that fails to hit the mark 100% is better than the same old same old? Or is it just generally a bad idea to think you're doing something when in fact you're still presenting the same problematic ideas on a more subtle level?
