The Wind Rises was actually the previous previous Ghibli film, if memory serves... Don't know if you caught it. It was the last Hayao Miyazaki film, which is why the animation changed in Princess, I think. For some other non-standard Ghibli animation, you should check out "Our Neighbors the Yamadas", which employs an animation style that reminded me of Princess.

Looking forward to "When Marnie was Here" which should finally be coming to Europe this year, after being nominated for the Oscar!
