Well, speaking as a proud member of Her Majesty's British Army (aka a Percy, Rupert or pongo), I think that being a rock ape (RAF Regt), crab (RAF), bootie (RM), jack or jenny (RN) are inherently poorer choices stemming from a defective and/or slavish personality.
