Welcome to 2007. To mark the start of a fresh year, yesterday, with exemplary skill, I emptied the greater part of a cup of hot Earl Grey all over the keys of this computer. Moppage reveals that damage has resulted: I am forced to type without arrow keys, Del. or several letters, the precise details of which I must leave for the reader to work out.

This is a far from auspicious start to the year. Apart from high rage levels the whole issue makes the style of this post somewhat stilted, far short of the loquacious ease with which I prefer to witter. Also, actual work is somewhat outside the limits of the likely. This day I shall go forth to achieve a fresh, glittery item of typage. Yesterday, I merely seethed.

However, comfort exists: the jo stv duo has acquired small cats. They are awash with the cute.

Hah! knew someone would feel the need to guess. Yup, B and N, although the Z was actually OK. Also the entire top line of the keyboard (number pad was OK, fortunately), and the /, as well as one each of the Ctrl and Alt. It was an interesting couple of days. I am now, as you might guess, typing this on my sexy new black wireless keyboard and cordless mouse. Yay for new technology.

When somebody spilt coffee on my previous keyboard I had to manage without D, A, Tab or the left Alt key. Not disastrous, but quite annoying.

If Orlando Bloom were my boyfriend, he would let me have kittens. Also, a Nubian Ibex. And possibly a giant isopod. He wouldn't give me any of that "but where would we put it" nonsense. Humph.

May I congratulate you on the power and detail of your fantasy life? *is awed*

Why on earth would you want a Nubian ibex? As archie knows only too well, they are simply silly. (Oops. Cockroach warning!)

Huh, obviously not a _nubian_ ibex they're talking about. They are mighty and proud goatlike creatures, who can leap vertically up the mountain, like cats.

Besides, the only pets Jack Sparrow would give you are headlice. And that giant creature thing.

You have no idea how difficult it is to avoid sentences containing ambiguous pronouns when you're missing the all-round usefulness of the letters B and N. (Neither of which are in Earl Grey or tea, so ptooey to cosmic correspondences).

I bow before your superior skills in (a) matters photographic, (b) kitten-ownage, and (c) cuteness. Or, in other words, awwwwwwww!
