clouds got in my way

Cape Town is still vascillating about all this spring/summer nonsense. Yesterday was muted and misty, with beautiful clouds.

(a) this camera apparently takes photos straight in to the semi-occluded sun with reasonable grace, and (b) that darned Egyptian goose is back on its chimney-pot perch again. (And, apparently, headless).

Other than that, being as how the insomnia levels are making it difficult even to enthuse about Torchwood, I got nuttin'.

Very pretty, and the Headless Goose is great. However I think I like the next one even more - you get to see more of the rather beautiful cloud patterns and sky colours.

Vascillating???!

'K, you're not sleeping properly*, I'll let it pass - just this once.

*Maybe you could try tucking your head under your wing, seems to work for the Egyptian goose!

Me in my weakened state, and you're correcting my spelling? So not cricket.

I have compounded the insomnia by getting moderately drunk last night, which means I slept like the slightly manic and unquiet dead (alcohol gives me even weirder dreams) but am hungover today. It's fairly indistinguishable from insomniac sleep-dep. There appears to be no actual win here.

Play on!

Only cos you so regularly lay into your students' poor use of the English language! I despair at what the BBC puts out at times.

Thank God it's Friday, eh? Hope the weekend brings you relief.
