My irritation at Eternity hijacked my microfiction this week: the alien invasion story I had mostly written will have to wait for another theme. Instead, "Impundulu". Because it had to be done. It may make more sense if you know the legend, try here. Real African vampires will kick your butt, broody Western undead.

I'm very glad you think it should go that way round, I always get insecure with all this intertextual stuff and afraid that the story will make no sense at all without the background. If it stands alone, yay!

And thank you, glad you liked it. I'm quite happy with this one. Possibly vindictively so. Eternity is narking me more and more as I think about it.
