'cause you asked
Tuesday, 20 June 2006 10:33 amSomebody, it may have been
khoi_boi, asked what I wanted for my birthday. Since this question, when put to me in person, makes my brain disengage its wheels for faster futile spinning purposes, I have randomly constructed a list over the last few days in the comfortably depressurised zone of the textual. Disclaimer: I'm not doing birthday pardee things this year, so am not actually expecting Presents, TM. ( Feel free to completely ignore this. )
I always thought that people who couldn't remember their age were really odd: I couldn't ever see myself doing that. Except I did. This weekend
wytchfynder asked me how old I was at this birthday, and I said "38" without even thinking. This was a good thing, in that it allowed his characteristic witty riposte ("An excellent calibre in a woman!"). Tragically, however, it was incorrect. I'm 37 this birthday. Clearly I am also Old, TM, if the years are beginning to blur.
