apparently they're terribly useful

The only problem with a self-indulgent two-week post-book-submission fallow period is that it makes for incredibly boring blog entries. Today the most exciting thing that happened to me was being suddenly and cataclysmically rained on when venturing forth to do some necessary grocery shopping. Teeny tiny baby hailstones were involved. I had to get myself into the car juggling the keys, two shopping bags and an umbrella, and laughing like a loon.

I suppose you could also count several dozen epic battles with Morrowind cliff racers, which involve considerable swearing and the inevitable discovery that the healing potions have run out at the psychological moment. Or the interesting David Tennant dream last night. Or my incredible state of muscular twinging after resuming gym after two months of slacking. Or the nice piano man arriving yesterday and disembowelling the piano, leaving with the innards tucked under his arm.

But not really.

I think I need to get a life. But not, officially, until Monday. So there.
