V. quick post, because I am full of Sunday-evening fondue and wine and also horribly stricken by another dose of glandular exhaustion, leading me to do nothing much all weekend. I just had the Fishy-weeping under control, and then everyone posted their supportive messages, and I got all sniffly all over again. In a good way. Thank you all, I very much appreciate the moral support.
I should add that Fish, unlike her owner, is singularly undaunted by pronouncements of doom. She has been quick to take advantage of extra affection and attention by essaying new techniques of, for example, climbing onto the dining room table during meals. She is also largely unweakened, as evinced by the fact that she indicated her displeasure with this evening's dose of antibiotic drops by biting me sharply on the thumb. Blood freed flowly.
Tomorrow, recking not the sapping horrors of post-viral wossnames, I start teaching again. Some semblance of my battered corpse may well post again later in the week.
