Stayed at home today, allowing (presumably) huge hordes of lost students to wander campus in my absence, tragically bereft of curriculum guidance. Felt surprisingly good about it. Also felt surprisingly good about not doing any of the marking or student record checking I should have done today - the combination of muzziness and sinus headache probably wouldn't have led to a quality product anyway. Or so I tell myself. Not guilty at all. Not!

Last Night I Dreamed: a vast, confused space opera, featuring characters from Star Wars, Firefly and the Miles Vorkosigan series. I had a spaceship and was rushing around the galaxy meeting people on planets and doing Secret Stuff. Then I spent the rest of the night wandering up and down a huge beachfront somewhere, carrying my cat. This entailed beaches full of children, rows of seaside houses, excellent beachfront restaurants and a huge railway station with lots of giant, scary armoured trains. Golux was very well-behaved. Later I was instrumental in restoring a lost cat called Jessica to her elderly owners.
