Instead, the Department of Random Linkery Strikes Back!
- Happy Cthulhu! By Ursula Vernon, who else? He's green, and grinning, and green, and cute. And green.
- The House of Clocks. This looks like a very straightforward clock collection until you read the exhibit descriptions, which are severely lateral, at which point you realise that the writers are totally insane, in the best kind of way that results from reading too much weird fiction, particularly Lovecraft.
- Fratellis music videos! I particularly like "Chelsea Dagger" (band in silly hats, showgirls) and "Baby Fratelli", which is with the Simon Pegg love. Judicious musing and consultation with experts (i.e. random friends on whom I am inflicting this CD early and often) has started to isolate the influences on the Fratelli 70s rock/pop/punk-edged sound - moments of Madness, the Clash and even, very distinctly at times, the Beatles.
We were supposed to go and see
Hot Fuzz again tonight, actually, but darned cinema was uncooperative. Shall console self with random video clips, hot Thai food and stv's uncanny resemblance to Simon Pegg. Now, must go and break up the catfight in the passage. Sigh.
 | Bunny Threat Level: bilious green for the last few days, hence its absence from these pages, but starting to show faint, pitiful signs of inching upwards. |
