Reading Smart Bitches Trashy Books with any regularity is likely to cause socially unacceptable side effects, like standing for several minutes in front of the romance shelf in Exclusive (it's next to the sf section, she says defensively) giggling helplessly at the covers. Also, the phrase "man titty" has been wandering vaguely and disconcertingly around my brain all afternoon.

Fun dinner last night with the Usual Suspects (jo&stv), plus the Friendly Psychologist and her Internet Romance, who dealt nobly with being flung headfirst into the usual flow of drunken waffle from a bunch of people he was meeting for the first time. Good lunch with wytchfynder today, including recommendations for superhero movies I (gasp!) haven't seen. Social amenities appear to be in forward mode.

Amount of actual work done today: nil. Amount of ShadowMagic played today: nil. (Call it a nil-all draw, and blame the World Cup). New acquisitions: Fleetwood Mac and Joy Division CDs, the next Lemony Snicket and a copy of Eragon (yay birthday vouchers!). Currently feeling: tired and faintly nauseous.

Despite spending 200 hours of my life playing a superhero in City of Heroes, I am repelled by many superhero movies. Sky High is one of these. :) It's just so ... Disney! :P

Ah, but you've obviously seen it, anyway? I shall go and do likewise. Besides, nothing Disneyfied can possibly be as bad as some of the actual Disney I've watched recently. Also, superheroes! they're their own excuse!
