several things

1. Tokara. Now starring as my favourite Cape Town restaurant, not that it's actually in Cape Town, but hey. Stunning setting and views down the valley from the head of the Helshoogte Pass above Stellenbosch. Incredible food. The red wine sauce on the fillet of beef was possibly the best I've ever tasted. Thanks, Tinnimentum. You can visit any time.

2. Chuzzle. Aaargh! the cute! Little fuzzy things that meep and quiver and make adorable noises when lined up and exploded! The addiction!

3. The book. Still have not eradicated the major logic flaws in Chapter 1, on account of how they're buggers. The chapter, however, is now shot through with little yellow comment boxes all saying things like "This is bollocks, rewrite." I suppose it's progress, of a sort.

Hmm, you seems to have left out the URL for the Tokara link...

That's because my brain is all fluffy and wibbling and going "boom!" Thanks for pointing that out. Sorted. Have a look at their menu. Dribble-worthy :>.

Ooh, it does look exceedingly yummy. Not very vegetarian-friendly, alas - though if I know my Cape restaurants, they'd likely be happy to customise something for the leaf-eaters.

Awesome view, too. I'd forgotten how partial I am to the Helshoogte.

Oh, extemp, no. It's so very wrong of you to introduce me to the chuzzles. I've only just recovered from the cube bugs. Oh very dear.

scroob

I'd have to agree, except for the fact that you can't play for very long without paying. The online game doesn't seem to last very long, and the download one lives for a couple of hours and then dies.

Not that I was playing it, or anything.

Eh - I seem to have an online game lasting dangerously long... possibly due to transferable skills from excess of cube bugs. Dear oh dear.

Interesting, I've had no problem playing a whole succession of online games. Possibly the cosmic wossnames simply don't want me to ever finish this book, and are arranging things accordingly.

Try Bejeweled. Not as cute, but equally addictive.

Hmmm ... I don't think there was anything stopping me from playing repeat games, but the one online game I played stopped fairly soon. I shall have to persevere and play again!

Insanely addictive. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Would I be wrong in my belief that James' Dad does the wine for Tokara, since it's their next door neighbour? Would explain the quality of the Red.

I'll definitely have to try this restaurant next time I'm in town :)

The website lists him as the production director, not actually the winemaker, but he definitely has a finger in the pie.

recently had a glass of tokara 12 year old (i think) brandy at a restaurant called jardine (on loop st., be sure to give it a miss unless you want something to complain about). it was really wonderful (probably competing with remy martin vsop) and came in the most beautiful of bottles - looks kind of like a perfume bottle. hmmmm....

Have very pleasant memories of sipping wine on the balcony at Tokara. The view is splendid.
