Tuesday, 9 October 2007 10:03 amME (in full flow during Dracula tutorial): So, we've seen ghosts in A Christmas Carol, now we're dealing with vampires, which are a threat which gives rather a different shape to the story. For a start, how do you deal with a ghost?
STUDENT: Um... call the Ghostbusters?
CLASS: *corpses*
And, overheard from the students behind me while walking down to my office this morning:
STUDENT 1: Ja, so her parents are, like, really rich.
STUDENT 2: You mean, rich for Zimbabweans?
STUDENT 1: No, rich for normal people.
I wasn't entirely sure if I should laugh or cry.
Last Night I Dreamed: a long, sad, poignant dream in which I was defiantly moving out of digs with friends (the dreaded M&M) while at the same time being aware that this was a really bad idea. They had this beautiful house on top of a hill, with a large collection of wine and quirky furnishings. The dream segued into walking around Harare in the vicinity of my grandparents' house, being sad and putting off the inevitable moment when I had to go off on my own. Not subtle at all at the moment, my subconscious.

Re: Last night I dreamed....
Date: Tuesday, 9 October 2007 10:18 am (UTC)* is it "seperate" or "separate"? I was always taught that "seperate" was the adjective/noun and "separate" was the verb, but now LJ's spellchecker is telling me there is no "seperate" and dictionary.com confirms LJ's suspicions.
