It's official. At this time of year I hate this job's guts. Eleven hour days are for the birds, as is negotiating the continual crises which arise when various elements fail to fulfil their obligations, such as delivering print orders to deadline despite repeated nagging. On the upside, my OLs are lovely and deserved the cookies I baked them. The rest of you, if I growl at you savagely any time in the next few weeks, please don't take it personally.
Also on the upside Barack Obama is inaugurated tomorrow, and we have plans to sit around with the Friendly Psychologist and her Internet Romance, who's a token American, drinking gin and celebrating as we watch the inauguration, SABC and Telkom willing. On the even further upside, the Onion's beautifully sadistic and understated series of articles describing horrible accidents to Bush is making me very, very happy. Work stress is definitely lessened by vindictive satisfaction.
