So, today's interesting little Orientation Moment: one of the booklets, produced by a student organisation, turns out to have a misprint which renders the first name of a student leader into a slight misspelling of a monosyllable with colloquially phallic connotations (she says, trying desperately to be circumlocutory in case the little shit googles it). He has thrown what appears to be the epic hissy-fit of the century, and has made enough of an issue of it that he's forced the unfortunate organisation concerned to recall 5000 booklets from six different faculties and individually delete the misprint with permanent marker.

I have spent the day constructing new, ruder and increasingly more polysyllabic terms to describe this action. It's not just narcissistic, it's self-important, megalomaniac, bombastic, self-absorbed, egotistical, arrogant, graceless, disproportionate, unreasonable, unpleasant and unnecessary. At this time of year everyone is flat-out busy. The error was regrettable, but was a misprint, not a deliberate sabotage - it's not pointed enough to be effective as a deliberate action. If he'd accepted their apology and laughed it off we would all have thought better of him. As it is, he's simply drawing more attention to the joke, and it's very much on him: this is going to get out among the students and spread like wildfire, and he'll never live it down. I have noted his name with some interest, and am going to have difficulty (a) taking him seriously, (b) believing in his actual efficacy as a student leader, and (c) refraining from sniggering derisively every time he's mentioned. Idiot.

In slightly better news, I went next door to talk to the orientation logistics team, and they were playing Belle and Sebastian. I knew I selected them for something.

This looks like one of those challenging moments that makes one wonder how one can possibly belong to the same species as said individual.
May I offer "overcompensatory" as a speculative addition to your list? Miaaow!

Oooh, lovely. Yes indeed you may. I should add for amusement value the subsequent revelation by the OLs that this particular student leader is something of a ladies' man and given to wanton flirtation at the drop of a hat. I would have thought that the misprint contributed to his mystique rather than the opposite. Idiot.
